Storm of Masks is Out!

Happy new year! I'm pretty psyched about the upcoming year. I have a lot of releases planned for 2017, and I can't even tell which project I'm most excited for. But I can say I'm super hyped that Storm of Masks is finally out.

When I decided to write more material for this book and release it, I had no idea how it would change the world/lore/characters, but revisiting it with a new eye and a general outline of where I wanted the sequel to go - SoM was originally written with it being a standalone in mind - I was able to see things with a new point of view and ended up writing a lot more new material than I'd expected.

 That said, I'm not complaining. I can't wait to write book two, Riot of Souls. But first I'm working on the spin-off standalone, Inheritance of Corpses...
(yum, right?)

I'm drafting a light paranormal romance set in the Menagerie World, Downpour (the 3rd book in the Unbroken Anthology Series and the first full-length novel in the series, so far!) back to back with this, and they're the two funnest projects I've worked on in years!

Today I'll be buying cat food & litter and then coming home to work on finishing up the outlines on these and starting to draft Downpour, so nothing too exciting... I will be getting out a lot more this year, though, and posting a lot more on my Instagram

How Long It Took To Write Each Book + Wordcounts! (How Do You Write So Fast?)

So today I thought it would be interesting to write about the books I've written and how long the process took for each one. Not all of these are published, and I'm only counting novellas, collections, and novels - not individual short stories. I have a fairly quick writing process; I take my initial spark or idea and come up with a few loose scenes, and usually the ending of the book. Then I create a character sheet with every character, a brief description of their looks and personality, and an outline for the book. Drafting itself takes around two or three days for a novella, and around fifteen to thirty days for a full-length novel. Editing can take days or months, depending on the manuscript. RETURN OF THE BLOG ZOMBIES

Obviously I've blogged more in the past couple days than I have in a long time, and that's going to keep happening, because I'm in a much more convenient position to write blog posts now. So, here's some stuff you can except to see me talking about in the next few weeks and months: 1) Spider-Man. This has happened and will happen again. 2) Video games in general. I've got Fallout 4 and inFamous First Light coming in the mail, and inFamous Second Son just arrived today. 3) The short stories I'm working on! 4) Pop music. Always pop music. Although right now I'm weirdly getting back into indie rock. 5) Dropping Like Flies. This is my next new full-length book and it's about a cannibal. Nuff said.
