Elmhurst isn’t like other towns. Hidden in a remote valley where the nights are ruled by shadow and fog, monstrous wolves prowl the streets from sunset to sunrise. The townsfolk lock themselves inside behind the safety of their steel shutters while the pack ravages their town, slaughtering anybody foolish enough to stray outside after dark.

It’s against this backdrop that Ansel, a high school dropout with a complicated family, struggles to hold onto Thomas, the boy he loves, who lives with a vendetta against the wolves that rule Elmhurst by night. Also trying to cope are Anda, whose twin sister has vanished without a trace, and Venus, a newcomer unable to accept her surreal surroundings. As the moon rises over the valley and the pack stirs, seven townsfolk each embark on their own journeys through the dark. But when paths cross, the consequences could be devastating…
